ELFORD DEVELOPMENT MOVES FORWARD WITH MARYSVILLE PROJECT
MARYSVILLE – The City of Marysville is in the process of finalizing the first potential project in the City’s recently constructed 206 acre “33 Innovation Park” fronting both US 33 and Industrial Parkway. The Columbus-based Elford Development Company is set to secure an initial development site in the industrial and advanced manufacturing park. This project clearly demonstrates Elford’s belief in the value of Ohio’s 33 Smart Mobility Corridor.
Elford is planning a Class A industrial building that can accommodate users from 30,000 to 180,000 square feet. The facility will be constructed by Elford and located adjacent to US-33 and will be designed with the flexibility to meet the needs of a variety of users including advanced manufacturing, research & development, smart mobility, data analytics, and logistics firms.
“The decision to move forward on this project was an easy one for us,” said Terry Emery, Marysville City Manager. “The new facility will be an asset to the recruitment of companies wanting to locate to the community. The City’s $7 million investment to create the 33 Innovation Park has set the stage for job growth for years to come.”
“We are impressed with the City of Marysville’s foresight to prepare and invest in the opportunities that the next generation of industry will bring to Central Ohio. Elford has a long history of investing in local communities and believes in Marysville’s bright future. We are thrilled to partner with the City of Marysville and Lee & Associates. This project will accommodate the needs of a wide variety of industrial employers looking to take advantage of the location and amenities of the 33 Smart Corridor,” said Alex Vulic, Elford.
According to Lee & Associates, brokers for the project, the decision to focus on this location is a result of an increased demand from industrial, advanced manufacturing, and R&D prospects who have expressed interest in the US 33 Corridor. Lee & Associates will be assisting Elford in the leasing of the project. “We will finally have an answer for the many potential customers who understand the significance of locating within this strategic corridor,” stated Mike Spencer, a Principal with Lee & Associates. “This initial building will allow users to capitalize on its competitive advantage while better positioning the City of Marysville to recruit new jobs and capital investment.”
